I love driving and there's always a couple of holes where you gotta give it the biggun IMO
My driver is a King cobra 460

I worked hard as hell last year and i got my HC down to 11. This season, since beginning of april i havent shot under 18 and some shots im playing are shockinly shite

Where i am a member i play every sunday....8 times this season so far, and i have got off the 3rd tee(par 5) ONCE Its stuck in my head now and i keep doing a big ole hook left into the thicket sometimes im 5 off the tee ruining my card...and yes ive tried playing safe and leaving 3 wood and driver in the bag and taking an iron...only to scuff the fooking thing into the ditch in front

WTF im doing i dont know

I barely ever use my driver. I can hit my 5 wood normally around 280 with better control.

I am talking after its finished rolling 50 yards in the summer

the point i was making was that i dont think its vital to have a driver if your a mid to high handicap player.

Downhill with a stiff breeze behind you?

You're right though, it's not vital, straight hitting will achieve good scores at any level.

but you hit certain clubs better than the others, its a mental thing tho. i cant hit my even irons for shit but my odd irons i can hit good. my driver i can smash all day long but i cant hit my 5 wood. the mind boggles

but on a positive note i can hit my driver like happy gilmore (and keep the fucker straight at times too) always a good bit of banter on a golf day

i should really get out and practice more as there is loads of courses near me.

RichardPON you ever go that driving range place in watford? the one where you got loads of targets to aim for?

Me and 3 mates go away every year to Dunston Hall in norwich for a golf weekend. Always good fun with plenty of golf and plenty of beer. Great place to go if you get the chance!!
