Default RUST prevention

Have got 2 tiny spots on my esco, floor pan, underside and inner sheel areas are all good but can somone advise best methods of looking after the shell, floor etc

I assume yearly underseal, what about in round the battery tray and other tricky areas ?

oil leaks, is there any part of a ford that doesnt leak, creak, or break atleast every second day

mate pm me ur email addy or stick me on msn and i'll send u over this post that was put up ages ago on how to treat ur car and stop any rust from appearing. works a treat aswell cos te guy hs the mintist xr2 u'll eva see!

So true. i just bought an old Sierra 1.8LX for £100 and underneath is absolutely immaculate, no rust at all, not on the floor, sills, crossmembers, gearbox mounts etc, in fact the jacking points don't even look used!...

anyway the engine had an oil leak and it covered the entire underside
i've got a 2.0 in it now though so it's all good.

i love oil leaks!
