I know what you mean about hitting the wake off big boats. We rented a small boat in Poole harbour last yr and hit the wake of a big fast moving boat. We were pointing towards the sky for a few seconds then pointing straight down at the sea. Shit my self for a second as thought we were gonna go under. GF was crying as she wasnt really keen on going out on the boat in the first place and that just finished it off for her

G/f's dad has a 4 seater Yamaha, one of only 12 in the country here. We take it out in the bay here behind the container ships which is great fun but bloody scary at times!
Has a top speed of 70mph roughly which we have only hit once when the bay was like glass and even then it felt choppy.
Great fun, makes me want summer again
