Default Which Brake Fluid? My cossie with AP's.

As title. Replacing the fluid tonight so we can tow car to the next fixit garage.

What is best?

the fully synthetic is good but i believe you have to change it more times than normal fluid.

a good dot 5 otherwise.

I use 5.1 in my brakes and recently filled my mates with the same, really solid feel and superb performance even from 130-0
No dramas here. worth changing it every year for performance like that

mintex dot 4 will work fine flush for a road car..

2.0 needed to flush the system fully

Buy this month's Fast Ford, all about brake fluid is explained!

Without any fear of contradiction, Castrol SRF IS the best. There is no other fluid on the market that I am aware of that has a WET boiling point of 270°C!
