i have to agree the amount getting broke is making them rarer in 5 years will be interesting to see prices, however in my opinion theres no price change atall, they never depreciate thats why i love them get a slightly doggy one dress it up and repair properly and its worth a grand plus more, RS is the only brand thats deprciation proof redily avaiable big smiles for low money and highly tuneable, yes they rust but its fixable if you love them enough

5 years ago i bought a escort cossie small turbo for 10k and today it would still be worth the same

Sorry but thats rubbish

That many cossies being broke is lowering the price of them ,, People think that if they buy a saff cossie and want to sell it the only option is to break it ,,and this puts people of buying them ,

Also , you see the same saffs on fleebay week after week after week
cossie prices arnt going up at all , there coming well down , people cant give them away at the mo

And dont say im wrong because i get offered cars every day , and most that are / have been on here us traders get offered as the owner gets sick of timwasters ,,

Its a fact that the more get broke the values drop ,,unless its a stunning / low miles car

When did you last see a std ish car in good con fetch over 4k ??? nice std examples were doing 5k easy last year

I have a stunning 4x4 for sale at the mo for 6k and had no interest ,,last year that would have sold for 7k easy

they do seem to go better in parts though unless theyve got low miles and no owners

if we got rid of ours it would be in pieces not as a whole

mainly because for the spec people want fsh and low owners tbh

i no this is gonna sound stupid but i have to agree with yes and no...... yes prices are low ,thats why they are worth breaking, its after a few years of people breaking them willy nilly ,then the prices will go up,
its happed b4 and will happen again with all sorts of cars
eg - r5 turbo three years ago i had 3 of these and paid 200,350 and 400
now you will pay a 1000 quid for 1 min
cav gsi sort of
mk2 gte 16 vave
sure there are others
???

I agree, I've noticed prices going up, only in the last 6 months or so, the year before that they were still going down. And yes I watch eBay all day long.

I think the Trader prices are at last being affected by eBay.

Mine's on a genuine 86k with only 5 owners with full history It's only done 13k miles in the last 10 years and I've only done 500 miles if that in 6 months That's hopefully soon to change since I found the cause of my rattle
