Got my chip back from Stu tday after a few mods and to add LC and ALS.
Was having starting trouble but starts fine now. Cheers Stu
LC, what can I say. I plugged the ecu back in at 20:00pm and let the car warm up to test, BAD IDEA.
Think I woke the whole town up!!!!
Will let you all know how it pulls off and how the ALS works at the weekend when its all wired in.

Where the ecu multiplug is you have a 3 pin connector socket....On a 2wd anyway.....the bottom left is LC bottom right ALS. just short them with the ground which is the third pin. I will wire to switches over weekend...
Easy...
Easy...

It winds back your timing and prevents the car from reving past a certain rpm point so that when you go to launch the car, you just hold the throttle wide open and dump the clutch and release the switch at the same time. When you release the switch, it allows the engine to rev. It's to hold the power at a fine ballance between bogging off the line and too much wheel spin.

To elaborate just a little on Daz's kind explanation, it dumps energy into teh exhaust stroke that on a turbocharged car is then harnessed by teh turbocharger, allowing you to actually have boost pressure at launch point as the video shows. Something the standard system simply cannot do. It ups the power available at launch massively.

as in if somone had a 4x4 cossie and wanted all the functions,,, just a rough price

Ł350 inc vat for the ALS program
Ł250 inc vat for the Launch Control Program.
Ł500 inc vat for both options together.
It can be done by post and teh chip posted back out teh same day on next day delivery.![Big Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
Both systems are ONLY available with our own ECU Calibrations, so if you have a NON Motorsport Developments chip, you will have to buy a chip for your spec as well. We decided against converting other tuners software, even though we can, as then we would be the last to touch the map, and we have no interest in going down that route, sorry.
We can do all the fitting, but would prefer you get your own ALS valves and Throttle bodies as we are not really equipped for machine work. These items are readily available and we provide DIY instructions detailing how to mod your own valve for teh mildest version of ALS.
Worth noting, Launch Control does NOT require a modded valve at all and it works out of teh box.

ok say for example I changed my cam and I needed a re map and I took my car to a different tuner once the other tuner has finished mapping the car would it loses the LC function or does it run off a different chip all together

Just some feedback on the antilag and LC. I had it fitted on a 2wd saph track car running the following just so you can compare.
t35.63 (without maram shaft) 34psi peak
greys
closed loop
7.8.1 cr.
4x4 inlet and matched to heavilly ported head. BD10's
500 IC
I have machined the idle valve as per Stu's instructions and also machined the throttle body both for more air flow. Antilag works spot on.
The noise is unbelievable but the way it works is even better. Instant throttle response when changing up and down gears and approaching corners etc. The heat the turbo produces is massive so we will see how long it lasts but planning to upgrade soon anyway
LC is a bit overkill for what I use the car for but thought I might aswell get it while Stu has the chip, 2wd and launch control dont really mix well unless you have slicks
Both well recommended though and easy to fit from the instructions.
Cheers Stu.

What boost does your T34 generate with launch control? I could soften it up a little if you like, maybe drop the rpm and boost a little?
