Diesel Van experts , No brakes , hard pedal !! VW LT 35 HELP
5 cyl 2500 engine lwb VW LT 35 , seemed to have lost a bit of power last few days then suddenly the brake pedal went very hard like its lost servo assistance , whats the usual story on these as ive got to tow my car to snetterton tomorrow morning !!

Either your servo is gone(holed) or your pump/pipes for it.
Just works on a vacuum pump driven off engine, or back of alternator to supply vaccum to servo, as diesel has no throttle valve so does not develope vacuum.

Glad to help matey, I suppose it is another one you have to pay for though, to get in the 24 hr one.
Dave Walker(emerald) had a notice up in his workshop about it but I forgot about it, he may even be racing with karl etc ?
