Power figures are a grey area, there are very few Yb's that can deliver this kind of power!! usually very expensive engines ie Rods which have taken years of developement.

BUT Rod's car has been proven on many occasions

Prove it !!!!!! Nuff said

whats wrong with a standard fuel reg? its a 1:1 rising rate, and thats all its got to do, is regulate the fuel at the required pressure

So it doesnt have to be attached to a pump thats flowing 1000bhp worth of fuel (lets face it you dont max out your pump on a 800bhp engine) even at a time when its idling and using about 3bhp of it, so has to return the other 997bhp worth of fuel back to the tank without being a restriction to flow cause if it was then the presure at idle would rise and it would massively overfuel?

I dont know if a standard reg can do that or not, but it certainly sound likely to me that it cant!

Ive not read the article in question, but if it says in the spec sheet that its owners estimates, or refers to a graph shown by the owners, I dont really see what else they could do but publish those figures, as if they rounded it down to 500 and said that was the owners estimate when it wasnt, then that WOULD be bad journalism sadly.

Mag's dont have their own rollers so always have to refer to an external source for the figures, providing they say what that external source is (in particular owner's estimates), its then up to the reader to have the sense to know if thats a reliable source or not.

Sadly no matter how idiot proof you make a mag, someone will always invent a bigger idiot to comment on it
