Just a quicky, if you need to replace just one rear tyre.... Do you need to replace both rears or all four due to transfer box etc.

I have 4 good pirellis with about 5mm and dont really wanna replace all

 

if you have 4 good tyres, why replace any???

 

I meant Ive got 4 with 5mm of tread but one has a bulged sidewall.

 

hard to say you could possibly get away with it aslong as it sthe same tyre to match

ive always replaced all 4 just just to make sure but i know it can work out expensive

 

would replacing two on the same axle affect the transfer box though?

 

i would have thought it would be ok as new tyres come with about 8mm i think so not a huge difference. some guy asked not too long ago abot replacing one rear tyre on his sierra an people said it was fine as there was still plenty of tread left on the tyre he wasnt replacing.
