....if i went to a specialist?!?!?!?!

I'm talking the WHOLE SHELL, inside and out, underneath and arches......

if i change the colour , by prepping the car myself, how much would the cost be to just get it sprayed!?!?!?

are you saying you'd basically just roll a shell in and let them spray it? not having to take glass out and bodykit etc will prob save a bit of money. For a top notch job i reckon you would be looking at 1K to 1.5k depends on the paint etc ...lots of different factors involved.

For a Top notch respray from Scorpion in watford your looking at about 1500quid. that includes them removing and refitting any trim that needs to be done. But thats not a bare shell job.

HTH

I'd expect to pay about Ł3000 for a decent drive-in-drive-out colour change including door shuts and wing tops.

Yup, PROPER resprays cost a fortune.

Cracks me up when people buy cars in a wanky colour and are all "its ok, il get a respray"

Even a decent same colour spray id expect 1k+, colour change is a shatload.

Buy a car a decent colour and be done with it.

yep around 3k. Its ok you thinking you might have prepped it up for them but it wont be anywhere near the std they will prep it. The paint alone to do a full colour change will be about 700 quid plus if they use top notch ICI.
