there was that black one with the plastic cutaway engine driving about in the snow and dark and stuff before going back into the garage

yep, the duckhams one is in Haynes at Sparkford. Has an engine in the back that actually drives the car (just.. lol)

I am pretty sure that the Duckhams ad shown above is the later version and that the earlier one had a rolling stones song - something like paint it black playing in the background - can anyone remember

why does it have a engine in the boot? isnt that a real cossie one under the bonnet? Looks cool though.

nooo, it's a cutaway dummy the vw in the boot is cobbled together to allow it to "drive"

it's the same as those cut away turbo's and stuff, they've chopped it up to show how things work and wehre the oil lubricatse and stuff
most of the riciprocating parts are plastic anyway

The cossie engine on the duckhams car isnt plastic...its the real thing ,but its been sectioned so you can see all the internals,

there was a program on it once i rememebr watching that showed who it all worked that how i know it's plastic
