It's the driver's job to judge the grip.
By the way - I am sorry for everyone involved. I lost it couple of times as well, also on road, this happens unfortunatly, noone is perfect.

stu must be a hard thing to get used to when customers whos cars you have sorted out all the problems call you up a few weeks later not to complain or mention its still got the same problem
but call you up to say " since you set it up its never been so much fun,,, sadly i wrote it off with a smile on my face "
this has gotta be the 3rd post i remember where you set a car up and the cars not lasted long enough to break down
must be a strange comfort when you see the product of all your hard work and where its destined to end shortly after
shows you and kenny are good at you jobs though
btw im no road traffic officer but id say that was a 30mph road as you wont get a 70mph limit road with houses and drives
and id say he was doing more than 30 or that car is made of playdoh and not metal
feel for the owner though,,,, the stress these cars cant give people is unreal and sorry to see his car that way

and for those who say it doesn't lok like a 30 mph smash, just remember the test they did on 5th gear the other week with 2 cars headon at 30 mph
they were both smashed to smithereens, and with a sierra and a big land rover, both of which ain't really going to have well designed crumple zones, there is only ever going to be one reslut

No point speculating as to what happened as none of us were there or know anything about the circumstances.
As long as nobody was killed or hurt that's all that really matters

I would hate to have any of these buggers on my Jury! They kind of define closed-minded thinking

Lads,
This bend can get very slippy and catch you out. In the dry the grip is there. You can go round the bend pretty easily and the road is very wide although only 2 lanes wide. In the wet is a different story. My van has been sideways round that bend without too much speed and it is also very slippy further up the road.
Chances are he was going over the speed limit but the way that road is, it wouldn't suprise me if he was doing 45, or the disco pulled out on him and had to swerve (there is a junction on the bend)...
