Default abs warning light

locked up today at high speed scary as f**k , then took my dash apart to see why abs was not operating only to find someone had seen the light come on and fix the problem by removing the plug on the back ( good fix hey )no light no problem i wish it was that easy , light is on permanaently can some one give me some know how on hot to fix such problem cheapest options first or just some diagnostic advice chhers all

And does it come on and stay on when you turn on ignition?

Or go off, but come on as soon as you move?

i have a 17 year old saff...........summer months = disconect it.......winter= plug it back in if ur arsed..........

1993 saph cosworth it is on from ignition and stays on just a break down on what i need to do please abs can be a pain at times but a life saver also it is an integral part of the car and i would like it to operate as such but thanks for all your replies so far am i posting in the right section or is there a technical forum as well
