focus cosworth
im looking into my next rally car and have been seriously considering havng a focus bodyshell prepped for cosworth running gear,
but, who would do such a thing ?
i need a pukka spec on it, not some shit in the shed job, this is to be a stage rally car to take group A/WRC escort parts.
ive emailed andrew gallagher but havnet recieved any replies,
anyone else that you guys know of ?
cheers

I was going to suggest him funnily enough as he is joining PF as a trader offering exactly that service.
Scotty is another option... dont really know of anyone else who does that... or who mails over valve part numbers...

There's a company in Westhougton (Bolton way) who did a Scooby Focus for rallying, also did a Fiesta Mk5 with a Focus RS engine, also for rallying...
Railway Clutch centre or something along those lines... Althought not 100% how good they are, they seemed to do the Scooby focus pretty well.

Andrew Gallacher is definately the man for the job and you are a garanteed a quick turnaround with the work. He has just taken on another fabricator and another mechanic and the business is expanding big time.
Also the website has just had a wee makeover and all the contact details are in there.

you cant, but i can damn sure spend the profits
GARETH T
have you seen the rising costs of group a parts ?
and not only that but i would want the WRC rear suspension setup for it anyway (escort or focus) so the mag arms/y links and beam would be redundant plus the shell mods for the cradle and the price of a pukka shell is near 3k bare for an ex works well used item.
ive seena few nice shell, but non are as nice as a new shell, i dont mind paying for the nice bits, i just dont want to pay for a well used shell thats priced on history.
the only parts i would use from a group a car would be transmission and front suspension anyway, would be a waste, plus nice focus body parts are cheap as well
stu - on its way !! sorry i forgot
I didn't think you could take bricks and mortar rallying Mark!?
GARETH T
why not just get a group a escort? as the only difference from the focus would be the looks

Steve Scott A1 is very good, seen some of his, he fabricates his own tunnel from new steel.
Andy Gallagher also very good, difference he used a sierra floor plan cut out.
He charges around 2k for the conversion, once you supply him with a shall
