just got one in my post this mornig it says i was doing 41 in a 30 zone .on a road which i use every day .and i know there is a speed camera there . and every time iam that bit of road i always watch my speed when aproching the camera.they got my reg right and the date and time but i know that i was not speeding trough those cameras on that day in question .as any body ever contest a speeding ticket and won. How do I stand if I contest this? I need to see video evidence of me doing that speed

 

I hate to sayt his but if you get caught by a camera its because you were speeding!

I drive through 10 every day and have doen for the last 3 years - so far I haven't been caught, but I expect I will at some point, its just life.

If it's a fixed speed camera, they don't take videos....

Take the 3 points and Ł60 - as all loopholes are closed now for fighting it.

If you dont tell them who it was then they issue you the fine and points end of.

 

I got done for doing 37 in a 30 I even got in touch with a mate who's now working for some big lawyers' firm but there's very little hope these days, once you're caught you're caught

They do go off for no reason, mate went through one twice at 15mph and it went off.


Only loophole is to go to the camera in question, with your 2 photo's.

Measure which lines you crossed at the 2 points and work out your speed!

They are 1ft apart, timing is 1 second.

convert into miles blah blah easy.

Formula is speed = distance/time.

Take photo's, record your evidence as I doubt they check every single picture for your exact speed, just what the camera has said.

If you have recieved a NIP in the post (notice of intended prosecution) then you are fooked, my Mrs got one for doing 38mph in a 30 zone and we wrote to them trying to blag it to no avail,

There used to be loop holes but as stated above I think the smokey bacon crew have now closed these off, there is a site www.pepipoo.com or something like that, it has info on speeding cameras etc

At the end of the day if you know the camera's are there take your foot off the gas and/or buy a snooper,

Ignore all this. Ask them to verify the speed manually (which they SHOULD do before issuing the NIP) as you do not believe you were speeding.

If you were not speeding, it will be cancelled. If you were, it will stand.

 

fanx for your kind words ladies and gents but I am 120% sure that I was not speeding through those cameras but at no time did that camera flash me and at no time was I flashed by those cameras because I know where they are and I pass them eveyday and I always reduce my speed before I go through so I'm gonna contest this
