Fookin ell!!! i think you'll find every farmer in the country knows that trick!!
I really do not understand peoples fixation with 13" rims!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if you look at the mk1's on 15's or whatever they are,the euro look is shit hot. Same in classic ford circles. My mk2 escort has 16" rims and looks a lot better for it!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry for so many !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ,but 13" rims piss me off.

It depends what kind of car it is tbh, say for example

a mk2 vauxhall astra gte would look shit on them ronal turbo rims but a mk1 golf can look or a mk2

anything after 1995 is a no go for me, fiestas escorts mondeos focus, cavaliers astras corsas, golfs jettas polos ect

just don't look right on newer cars

i say its each to their own,i personally love the euro look, but i hate the rat look stuff. the rbt mk1 golf looks the tits imo,the vag one looks naff on the p-rims imo cos they are too new for the car.

arse pies escort looks the dogs danglies on them rims and soooo much better dark

im not sure some of the euro look escort cossies pull it off though tbh,but i think the saffs do.

It was the campain models that had the p slots, some mk2's came with the p slots to however they differ slightly with the jap between p's being bigger

i must say the euro bandwagen has begun but the vw lot have been stylin cars this way for years now the cars get better and beter all the time, with a suitable amount of power nothing really gash just folks tryin to push the envolope a little futher

as for euro fords the blue convertible @ fitp was car of the show for me porsche polished wheels, debaged grill, mohair roof, just really smooth sweet stylin and after a convo with the owner its had 200bhp turbo and was all home built shame my camera was dead couldnt get a picture

I think they look great.
As for the "wheels sticking out are an MOT failure" bit, I was always told that it isn't to do with the treaded part sticking out, it is the fact the wheels need to be inside the arch so they cannot snag on anything/ person as they pass, plus if there's weight in the car and the arch is hitting the tyre it won't be long before the tyre is split: therefore it's a safety thing.
Some top pics there

A couple of pics for you of my old MK1 Golf... 1300 driver... was slow... but looked ace for the money it owed me...
Sold it Feb 2006... was just a run around while my Scooby was off the road...
The Golf was solid... was completley standard when I picked it up... I had all the carpets out when I brought it, and the floor was mint...
Give less than Ł400 quid for it... got some new Ronals for it and chopped the springs, 6 coils off the backs, 5 off the fronts ... lol
It owed me less than 1K...

MK1's dont look right unless there LOW!!!

At least I style within my budget and don't get carried away ending up in me having to sell the car. How about you stick to the one car so you can afford to finish it?

Bizarrely after reading this thread last night at work I spotted a VW Caddy with very small wide rims that protruded about 2" outside of the bodywork and was low as fook.

Not sure of the exact offset, I would guess at around 25 the outers come just inside of the rear body kit

You sure mate? ET25 on an 8 would be about that (im thinking of EscCos rims and how they sit on 3drs), ET25 10s would be sitting 2inches further out.

Cool wither way tho

Yes not really sure im guessing used to have 18" comps which were et30 and these stick out a fair bit more than those did..
