Can't see why people say they look shit. Think it looks really good myself, makes a nice change to everything else whilst still being cool.

I think it looks bad because I know that it will handle badly, I like cars to perform, I do "get" the whole look thing, I just would prefer cars that go round corners, same reason I dont like all the huge wheeled fibreglassed up show cars particuarly either.

Dicko&Sarah

Stop being such a tart, mk1's rule ok. Infact the mk1 is probably the only golf worthy of being classed as a performance vehicle. Mk2's are plop, mk3's are worse, mk4's were only saved due to the fact they installed a decent tunable engine in the fucker, mk5's same as mk'4.

Golfs are like cossies they get worse as they get newer

Sorry to be negative but i think a 3 door might look a bit wanky on stretched tyres. I hope you prove me wrong though

Not going to be too stretched but the wheels will stick out into the arches rather than sit inside it.

no, different fit mate, but can get conversion spacers from 5x100 to porker fitment (summat stupid, 5x756378053608 i think) as 5x100 is also some VW/Audi fit.

something pretty usual ET30 i think, nothing nuts, but bearing in mind standard offset is about ET50 on scoobys (and most porkers actually) its pretty fucking low TBH, esp as the rears are 9s.

we gonna have to go wild with the arch flarer i think, lol

Euro look isn't about ICE and Hydros like the crooz scene.

Just subtle, cool looking cars.

I do like the Euro look especially on older Golfs.....its summat different than the normal bodykit things....remember 'if you aint rubbin you aint dubbin'! LOL!

I also think that Escort looks awesome with those Euro rims on...fair play for having the bollocks to do summat a little different on a Ford!!!

As for stretched tyres.....check these fookers out......how they seal I'll never know.....

as long as you handy with the bead blaster you can get em to seal ok most times.

i got 195s on a 10inch wide rim no bother.

its when you try and do it with mega low profile it gets dodgy as you got no sidewall, so no stretch, so you fucked.

these worked jus fine, not had a problem yet

imagine a big tank with a nozzle on it.

close the nozzle handle, fill the tank with an airline to 250psi or so, put the end of the nozzle to the tyre edge (as you can easy get the tyre on the wheel, just no chance of getting it over the bead), put your fingers in your ears, close your eyes and hope for the best, and pull the lever.

WHUMP

tyre edge is over the bead, and you probably deaf (or if you unlucky it didnt work and maybe something just hit you in the face ) then its just a case of putting the airline on the tyre and putting a load of pressure in it, should pop on properly from there.

can do it a pikey way with aerosol cans, ill see if i can find a vid to show you...
