Default PassionFord improvements..

Question: What do you think we need?

Kind of following on from my Logo Compo here: https://passionford.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=73892

Im interested in incorporating other features and things into the PassionFord experience...

For my own suggestions im going to say:

Vehicle buying guides.
With so many folk buying Fords and upgrading from other fords, it would be cool to have a buyers guide to print out and take with ya

Dont forget PassionFords front end Portal can accomodate virtually anything.. www.passionford.com

What input do you guys have?

How about 'No wars please'
Non gold members being allowed to Post cars for sale/Parts but for a price.
Say Ł2 a part and Ł5 for car.

Also what about a template for Cars for sale, making them stand out a little.

Having a car & tech section like we do atm but having myabe 3 or 4 "advisors" especially to help you with problems.

Agony aunts for your cars

But without all the random posting you get when you normally ask for help.

Pictorial installation guides would be great, ranging from radio / speakers installation to fitting gauges, where/how to plumb them in, dump valves, breather kits, etc...

More technical articles

I'd like to be able to turn the sigs on and off. Some people have some ones that I don't like getting caught looking at a work.

Katies one would probably get me sacked, and I don't think its exactly fair to use it either actually. Sorry and I will get slagged for this probably but I don't think its right to have that sig. I am NO prude and have a porn collection thats probably bigger than the rest of the members put together BUT I choose to look at that when I want... I don't have a choice with that sig and it DOES look dodgy. My mate at work caught me reading a topic she had posted on and gave me a 'steady on' kinda look.

Sorry and the flame suit is on

No need for the flame suit porkie, i did think that myself, just nobody has ever said it

Im still going through the signatures and checking them for size and rude pictures although its hard when theres 6637 members.

Just searched out Katie's sig and disabled it, i agree 100% Lee, not appropriate for this forum and simply a free advert for her business to be honest IMO..

I also agree with Porkie's idea. I also sneak on at work, or when can't be bothered to go out for lunch, I have it at work and go on to PF, I never look at the Muppet room because I know better, but some avatars that are used in general makes me scroolll very Fast!!

Also you never know what age people are who come on here. Im sure minors do and its not fair or right for them to being seeing unsuitable material. As Porkie and the others here. Is a time and place. IE Men/Ladies Room every where else should be suitable. And this isnt a moan at all.

user selectable swear filter also.... really really required as I can only browse half of PF at work due to the swearing... and any in the topic titles blocks my out totally....

id like to see a few more worksafe features as user selects...

in the buyig guides etc... id like to see stuff like... what oil etc what plugs for boost levels etc... all typical stuff that years ive thought.. oh here we go another person asking.... but recently due to a change of car ive had to ask all the same simple questions myself!!!

oh yeah... and improvements.... someone help me out in the technical section... I want some basic kinda suggestions on whats up with my car

id also like the view your own posts bit adding to the top of every page (like it is when you look at the general list of all forums)

only really minor tweaks as its a superb board!!! top work all involved!

But if the function is to be abled / disabled by people themselves, then kids WILL choose to see it... Don't you think?

Could we have an alloy wheel chooser?
Ive seen afew before but they are well out of date and have all the wrong cars
Basically it has a side on view of the car and you click on the alloys of your choice to see what they would look like. Saves alot of photoshop work
One that i saw afew years ago alloyed you to virtually lower the car by varying amounts too
