Extreme are brilliant and very very clued up on all cars. If they can work on complicated modern cars im sure a old cossie wont cause much bother. John and George are both very easy and genuine to deal with.

just back from extreme,
these guys know their stuff, they specialise in scoobs and evos, but we were there with a rover 620 turbo ,which ain't really a common car for tuning, but the guy still seemed to know a lot about them.
the set up is really good as well, I've only ever been to Ava, but this is totally different, the equipment seems a lot more modern.

I know a modern set up doesn't make up for experience, but i would recommend them, they seemed really clued up.

so what car did you get them to chip? i use RJM alot and so do a lot of my mates, always quality work with reasonable prices

and as for them being "donkeys" as you put it they had a hand in setting up my escort....which is still the fastest 1/4 recorded in the uk from an escos. so your a bit off the mark with that statement

They chipped my RST when i first got it.

7.5 hours to chip and set up a car

Turned out the chip was faulty coz it was retarding the ignition to much, i got AVA to sort it.

They gave me another ECU and i went back to RJM with the other one, shit customer service, arrogant wankers and then had the cheek to say its not our problem, contact Turbosystems.

First class donkys

If you had a rolling road on your premises and you chipped cars would you not run the car up on the rolling road and check if its 100%.

Instead RJM went out in mine down the road round the back of the building, a fairly straight road but they didnt even get into 5th

How does that test a car.

Kev maybe they were fine with you but on a whole there fookin shite and wouldnt recomend them to anyone with a Ford.

i find the way you describe things pretty hard to beleive from RJM, as i said i use them regularly so i,m in the workshop alot heres a list of my cars i have had them work on with no probs

porsche 911 (996) turbo
BMW 850csi 5.6V12
2 toyota landcruiser 4.2 amazons
3 door cosworth 500+bhp set up by them and 183mph on its first run at brunters
escort cossie...dunno power..must be high 600,s did 10.3 1/4 mile
2 merc sprinter vans..both chipped and missiles now

your comment on rolling roads is funny....i have had 2 of the fastest recorded cossies in the past and neither of them have ever been near a set of rollers
a run up on the rollers is usually to supply the customer with something he can masturbate furiously over IMO

are you sure your car wasnt fucked before it was booked in?

Why would i post up about them if i didnt get a shit customer service.

No the car wasnt fucked before coz it was a standard ECU when i went in.

You can come and give the all the praise you want, they did a shit job on my car and thats it.

I thought they were ok with the cars i saw them with before but i found out differently.

Why did i drop the car off with them at 10 am and didnt get it back to 5:30pm, i was there for 60% of the time.

I will stick by my answer that they are total fuckin donkeys

Everyone will have a bad story about a tuner, some take it to heart when its theres

My question is

If you have a rolling road facility in your workshop, why dont you use it to test out the cars instead of taking them down a shitty back road where you cant get the cars full potential.

my question is why the fook would you want your car cooked on the rollers...like i said none of mine have ever been on a set and never will be

did you knock one out over the dyno print out?

LOL @ being defensive over tuners.. i am anything but that.. i have used RJM/ Turbosystems and Reyland, all with no probs and am not loyal to any one of them...its my choice

RJM are local to me and work on all of my motors

Just to add to the donkey story

I got the car chipped with RJM, it had

Piper T2 cam
Pace charge cooler
Magnex
K+N
Uprated breather

I got the chip, plugs and they set it at 18psi

It made 145 ATW when i went to AVA, i was told it would make 185 ish

What kind of tuner are they if they have a rolling road and are clueless to put the car on the rollers to check the power/setting after its benn chipped.

I got a chipped EVU from AVA and it made an instant 10 bhp ATW

When i went back to them they said i had modified the car even more and thats why the car isnt going right.

Its nothing to do with the chip they sold me.

Not being defensive, get a fuckin grip.

You stick with your donkey tuners as they seem to do you good service.

So your saying no car should be checked on the rolling road to see ifs it fine.

Why the fuck do everyonr have rolling roads then.
