I would say you had less than half a tank of fuel and when you launched it the fuel surged to the back and it sucked up a bit of air causing it to backfire
mine does it a lot it scares the hell out of people

With the Bosh uprated pump in particular (but generally goes for all fuel inj') you should keep more than 1/4 tank in there - were you cornering by any chance?

hi bud, i shouldnt be shes not boosting that hign, ive got a gauge and also the chip should over ride the ecu if im not mistaken

but yes your right if i get her set up proper it should stop this, will try plugs, but in honesty this is first time and she could have sucked up some air

mate i was well low on fuel, nah on a straight, but i just floored it in first LOL would have sent all fuel to the back of the tank, also I probably did blow a plug out, should feed in the boost more progressivley

Glenn, do you know if yours is a Bosh pump? - they have a larger pickup area and it doesn't touch the bottom of the tank like the std Ford one does, hence needing a refill once you get to 1/4 tank, otherwise you get what you got .

I quite agree, hence mine gets filled up when approaching 1/4 tank, and I don't bounce off my limiter (on purpose )
