Stu,
advice again my man !!
Gave my car a huge bootful in first gear, it let out a monster back fire, and a cloud of dark smoke, very dark grey, I assume its overfuelling is it ?

nah lads she was only at 4250rpm, i just floored it and dumped the clutch, spadge me paddle is holding up
i been in the limiter a lot though, this was a bigger backfire

I would say you had less than half a tank of fuel and when you launched it the fuel surged to the back and it sucked up a bit of air causing it to backfire
mine does it a lot it scares the hell out of people

Mine does this mate maybe your hittin over boost ??? if i cain mine out of a bend she seems to do this also lets out a mighty bang and off she goes lol.Get it set up proper and it might not do it

With the Bosh uprated pump in particular (but generally goes for all fuel inj') you should keep more than 1/4 tank in there - were you cornering by any chance?

hi bud, i shouldnt be shes not boosting that hign, ive got a gauge and also the chip should over ride the ecu if im not mistaken
but yes your right if i get her set up proper it should stop this, will try plugs, but in honesty this is first time and she could have sucked up some air

Glenn, do you know if yours is a Bosh pump? - they have a larger pickup area and it doesn't touch the bottom of the tank like the std Ford one does, hence needing a refill once you get to 1/4 tank, otherwise you get what you got
.
