As others have said, don't rush into anything. You are talking about moving house etc etc. Meet her first, see how that goes.
Especially with kids involved, as you have mentioned you plan to meet her then if it goes well slowly introduce yourself to them. Sounds like a good plan to me.
Try not to get too carried away though.

Kids would put me off, I'd like my own someday but I couldn't face the 'You're not my Dad' stuff off an arsey teenager.
One I could maybe handle, but 3, I'm not so sure. However as long as you don't get too attached and keep it all casual for a while, why not go for it!

mate just give her one on the bonnet of your car, in a forest, on the bonnet inn a forest and then on a fwe park benchs
THEN think about the kid situation
trust me give a bird one up the arse when shes bent over holding onto a fallen tree
once your past that stage then theres no respect so you wont get hurt again
if you can do that on the first date then and ONLY THEN you can say you back to how you used to be
you are getting there though

....been on their 3 times in 7 years 1st time met a bird in tunbridge wells(whilst i was married 
, she wanted to meet but i didnt,thankgod...soon fizzled out) 2nd time just for a laugh and 3rd time when i met this girl
