Go to bmw with your logbook etc & they should tell you what the code is providing it hasnt been changed after leaving the factory.

the dealer will be able to bypass it, it's the sort of thing you'd program in as a backdoor.

might need to get it AA'd to them tho

There is a (time consuming) back door but I cant remember it

It was expalined in the seven series owners handbook but I dont remember seing it in the three

If i remember correctly though the code is set every time you arm it so if it is armed now it is whatever you set it at to arm it.

how would you input the code then?

i remember jim pressing random bottons on his dash to make the needles go round so is it a combination that can be changed?

how many combinations are there?

etc

If the OBC is the full version with the key in position 1 you press ‘CODE’ followed by a number combination of your choice (using the number buttons used to set the clock - up to four characters I tink) then ‘CODE’ again then switch off. The red LED will remain lit indicating it is locked.

To disarm is the same process is followed. If you try to start without disarming the ignition will be dead, the ‘gong’ goes and the OBC just flashes up a warning.

You can use a different code every time you arm it if you want but it means you’ve got to remember it

Sounds like a ball ache but its actually dead easy and quick if you use a simple code that’s quick to enter.
