Default specialist insurance for mk 1 escort cosworth

been getting silly quotes, the car is a mk 1 escort with stage 3, weld in cage, fully restored etc...... need agreed value of over 20k, tried the usual but they all want silly money, anyone know of a specialist insurance company, maybe classic insurane?? can be limited milage policy, only need around 3000 miles a year.

thanks in advance.

Got my old TR6 insured with Footman James, only pay £150 per year, so might be worth a go. Could try adrian flux, they do specialist policies etc

Matt,

Back when I was into me classic Fords I used to get them insured with Roadsure through the NASC (www.rodandcustom.co.uk).

You had to be an NASC member to get the policy but it was well worth the 20 quid, as they couldn't give a shit about the level of mods. Agreed value, 3000 miles a year and I was paying £180 for a Mk2 Cortina with about £12,000 of parts chucked into it.
