Can't beat a bit of Dorset etc mate,
My mum lives in a lovely place called Lyme Regis and it's where i go when i want some peace and quiet in fact i rent a cottage so my mum can't chew my ear off whenever i go
All the locals are spot on and very welcoming (spl?) and most of the roads are fantastic to drive on and just get yourself lost for a few hours

Edinburgh, dublin...?
Or maybe Rome?
Any of those places can be gotten to easily, and flights/accomodation can be had for reasonable prices.
Any would be lovely for the camera too
Matt.

Barcelona is quite nice Stu... lots to see and do. Some of the Gaudi buildings are incredible.
Do it on a weekend of a Barca game. You don't have to be into football or even sport to appreciate a game at the Nou camp. I will sort you some tickets if you need.
Dublins nice too for weekend.
OR do a week in Egypt where me Renton mart and Sean went. CHEAP as chips, all inclusive and amazingly relaxing!
Or you can Come to Sunny Essex!

Stu,
I had a thought like this. although a mate was invited to lamborghini, so we went to stansted, flew to bologna, visited Ferrari, Lambo, Ducati... and yep, Pagani. And ran up a nice little bar tab. Maybe not as relaxing as you would like, what about a long weekend away in spain? try www.skyscanner.net

Depends what you're into Stu.
if you want sight seeing etc. then i'd suggest somewhere the others have suggested.
If you fancy a bit of countryside and a different coast of england then somewhere like essex is spot on. IF you can put up with us.
See here matey

Team HOTHOT!
Take a trip to Ravenglass on the West Cumbrian coast - absolutely stunning part of the country.
Take a ride on the 'Ratty' for 7 miles up into the Esk Valley and walk around rolling hills and scenery. Then take a drive to the foot of Englands tallest mountain - Skafel Pike (or however you spell it). While you are in a walking mood, take a stroll out into the natural estury that opens between Ravenglass and Seascale (But watch the tide )
Then in the evening, dine in "The Ratty Arms" - the BEST pub I have ever been in - no silly music at silly volumes, a landlord that remembers your name and drink, a barlady that forces drink down you if she thinks that you are "suppin' like a budgie" lol
Seriously, My visit up there changed my view of Cumbria - I always thought it was a shit hole, but how wrong I was. Stunning scenery!

Thanks for all the great sugegstions so far people.. i am simply looking for some inspiration as i have littel experience of relaxing times away and want to do something with Nicole to just get the hell away from cars, customers, websites and problems. (No offence to any customers of course, im sure you know how it is)
Only holidays ive ever had in my entire life are once driving in scotland for a week, twice to southern france and, well i have visited Africa, but it was far from stress free as it was due to a bereavement.
I dont class teh Nurburgring as a holiday either because its all about cars and quite stressfull IMO. LOL
I am open to anything thats do-able within my time constraints really, which are:
I Need to leave Friday afternoon and come home monday night though... thsts the constraint. Leaving Thursday night is a small possibility.
Just need some quality time alone with Nicole really, but we dont want to be bored senseless either.

Venice? Totally relaxing..not a lot of walking...quite a lot of sitting in a boat and/or eating...things to do but not so much you feel your time is scheduled..
Rome is gorgeous too though...but there's so much you feel you should do it's more culture trail than relaxing...although you could do whatever suits..
I'd recommend Florence but when we went the whole place absolutely stunk...and no, it wasn't us...as the smell didn't follow us back home

PassionFord Post Whore!!
I know it sounds funny, but how about Amsterdam? This time of year will be quiet, and it's a nice place to walk around, relax etc.. Nice beer, lots of look at, and pretty cheap on flights too?

from what youve said stu, youd be hard pushed to beat dublin....
Specially as you can fly there and back off peak for next to nothing...as Gareth says....

Stu @ M Developments if you want to relax you cant go wrong with Sharm El Sheikh as Porkie already said me n the wife went last year and it was great, lazy arsed beach holiday with all inclusive meals & drinks, the sea is warm/hot, tropical fish/coral reef, friendly helpful people, fab weather, cant knock it for unwinding! If you can spare enough time away from work etc, go for a week, if not your local travel agent could arrange flights/accomodation to suit a long weekend no doubt
