Are you talking DVD recorder to replace the video?

If so, adjust your recording quality.

Mine will do 6hrs on a regular DVD+RW.

i've got one of these
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-DM.../dp/B000AM2E52
and it's got single recording for 2 hours, double recording to give you 4 horus and extra recording to give you up to 8 hours
quality is a bit pants, video quality by comparrison, but it's still viewable and good for what i want to use it for
along with these discs
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PANASONIC-DVD-...QQcmdZViewItem
and you can't really go wrong
