I borrowed a 200k car at christmas for a few weeks and there must be hundreds of people saying they wasted an aston martin to thier friends, but there was no way i was going trash it racing a car worth about 10k and with less power than a moped. Ive never driven anything like that before and it is amuseing the amount of people who "try it on" as to say 
So posts like this do make for good reading, i bet somewhere the porsche driver has posted, i got wasted by a taxi last week. I bet he would px your saff and money your way

but when you have people like some flash cunt in a jag xkr supercharge with his missus laughing at you at a set of lights it makes me giggle.they sat there in dagenham looking down their nose at us(me,the missus and my mate and his missus).first set of lights went green and i let him go,the second set he laughed agin so i thought fine fuck you mate.lights went green and i dropped it arse end scrapping the ground andkille dthe smarmy twat right uto the next set of lights about a mile down the road.
stangley he didnt want to look at me again.
im not saying they hasnt got a car thats "nicer""faster top speed"etc but there are a few suprises still out there in the old shitbox world.

Poor bloke couldn't figure out how a shonky Ford was crucifying him totally at speeds that reached the magic treble top . So just to rub it in, Justin kept letting him catch up again and kept showing him "Cossie power" .

These are pretty cheap however... Is that not a poor mans Ferrari? Seen saffs go for more than Ł12k

I'd get the normal GT3 to be honest. That will hold the value the best... wider market. Supposed to be as easy to live with as a 996 Turbo as well much nicer day to day than a 996 GT3 
All GREAT cars though.... you WILL be happy.
Residuals and running costs aside have you considered a Gallardo... the new ones are supposed to be very very good.
I'd get the 997 GT3... not as special as the 430 but a better car to own and drive I reckon.

Whats the average weight of a Porsche?
On way back from Norfolk, I had a play with a Porsche on my mates test track. No idea what model, although it did have exhaust either side (turbo?).
I was off the clock and had to keep letting up or I would have rear ended him.
Got fed up after a bit of him not moving over, so flashed my lights and slowed down, he put his hazards on

It's very simple:
400 bhp Saff Cossie weighs about 1200 kg (RWD that is)
= 3 kg/bhp
Porsche 911 GT3 RS (fastest apart from the 911 Turbo):
415 bhp , 1375 kg
= 3,31 kg/bhp
Porsche's probably got better aerodynamics aswell which will make it faster at +100 mph speeds. However the GT3 has got a huge wing which is supposed to create downforce so I doubt that there's a lot less air resistence than on a saff...
