Default Loft conversion...

Was wondereing if anybody on here had any experience of loft conversions?

Am thinking of getting one but thinking do some off the work myself and paying for some of the work. Want to put in a dormer window and would pay somebody to do this, but fancy doing the actual boarding out and finishing off stuff myself.

ANy thoughts or any ideas of prices for say just a dormer installed, or to hav the whole thing done?

ANy ideas's for a good builder/roofer/carpenter/whatever needed in se london/kent area??

Thanks

Depends on the truss' and the joists in your roof.. the directions and also what type they are.

I'm not expert but lets see some pics and I am sure someone will tell you.

Oh yeh- you need to consider building regs and planning permission too.

If houses in your area have this style of loft conversion you're prob gonna be ok

My next door neighbour has had one done, not sure of what you call the extra piece thats been put in,but it makes the house look like a block of flats from the back
Hes had 2 bedrooms and a bathroom added in the loft space,so now his house has got 6 bedrooms and 4 toilets, and the tosser has only got 2 kids
28 grand that cost
