Well Done again Rodders. Nice to see that the car was driven back home after the event aswell.
Just got into work now. I am totally fooked. Finished a 12hr nightshift at 6am and went straight to Mark's from work then over to Brunters. Left there and picked up my car and came straight back to work for another 12hr nightshift. Damn....I really need my bed.
Sunny.

Someone told me many years ago that an Eggenburger car had done 211mph on the Autobahn, good luck in finding out any more info' Martin.
I think any car doing 200mph+ within the confines of Brunters is some achievement i'm sure Rods car would go over 210mph on the Autobahn, mind you it might start to take off, can Sheady Fly?

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
200mph wow!!!!!! Awesome, very well done to all those involved in the project, that is something truely class!!!!!
Uncle Henry would be shocked to hell with that!!!!
Mad Mark + Mad Rod
And the car finished the day in once piece and was drivable home
.............................that's fooking 200mph in a Saphire just saying that out loud sounds unbelievable It's only bloody designed to do 150mph
Well done lads
Sunny- Hurry up and get your FRST put back together

Congrats and Happy birthday to you Rod, and of course a big pat on the back to you as well Mark! - Not forgetting everyone else involved.
A fantastic day for all, especially me as I was lucky enough to witness the first 200mph Cossie at Brunters, oh and a hot lap with Mark wasn't bad either! Even as it turned out with the nitrous off, I was mucho impressed with the performance...There's only been one other Cossie to impress me more in terms of performance and power and Rod knows which one.
To put it bluntly, it's bastard quick!
Congrats again to Rod, hope you've had that slice of birthday cake now seeing as you had the healthy dinner earlier in anticipation for it

Hi
Have arrived home safely , what a great Birthday Present .
The Horsepower needed to pull 200 down Brunters was much as i expected.750 on run 1 & 770 on runs 2 & 3. We pulled 7937 in 5th to set the record & the gearing was spot on.
Was glad i did my run & saw 200 on the Stack & i braked at the 300metre board i was baulked coming on to the straight by a Land Rover but no excuses i braked as late as i could & i think Mark was more scared than me, the car is fine when acclerating but under braking its crazy the car moving all over the place. To see my Cossie pull away from a 1000cc Triumph Daytona down the straight was indeed a sight, got it on Video , Mark pulled 6secs on him .
Thanks to Mark & all the pit crew.

Each run stopped easly before car park could have braked much later but at 201.8mph the car is moving around lots I would not and will not ever try this on the road as it would be stupid, At 180mph the car is ok but 20mph more it is scary .
