Mike,

Without detracting from Phil’s thread

I did and you remember my comments, I’ll be the first to say your time and customer service is 1st class.

I just want to see this ECU get utilised to its full potential in a Ford, we’ve seen today Rod’s efforts with Autotronic and Martins with Pectel T6 so lets get the SECS ECU and people to vouch for it. That’s how I run my business and let the new ideas flow

Dunno, make me an offer??? Remember seeing them selling for 250 quid about 1 week ago

Bill, thanks! TBH I'm still reeling from Phil's latest decision not to use the SECS S8 ECU.......Simon agonised for days wondering if Phil was the right person to try the special "try before u buy" offer...........In the end he nearly changed his mind and it was me that said to him "Simon - give Phil the chance - you wont regret it, you know it makes sence - he's sound".....

Lee's is running on the SECS ECU, so if you want to see something with it on, watch the progress this makes .

Warren, as far as I'm aware there is only one SECS ECU at the moment - the SECS S8, as used by the aforementioned Cossie boys.

Everyone else is talking about the SECS monitors (not ECU's)

Warren,
Yes, as the ECU has the ability to control 4-8 injectors already built in. Any upgrades such as ALS etc are simple software installs. There are no different specs of the ECU as far as I am aware. There are hardware / software add-ons to change to coil-pack etc, but the ECU is still the same.

Just to clear up a couple of points.....first off Jim is owed a big slap.....second its my fucking car.....

Now..listen up...i KNOW you can only make minor adjustments and with all my trade prices its costing all in all around Ł500 INC MONITER without the need for the xtra Ł400-Ł500 live map as i am now running 4 greys only.

Why i went this route?Because first off Simon initially fucked me about...later saying that he thought i was joking THEN saying some bloke off here said NOT to deal with me ..So i get the ECU...and i then get a call saying it needs to be modified as its faulty...So i think right NO NEED already got L8..then i get a call saying no its ok no need for recall AFTER i say i dont want it!Oh and to top it off it was meant to be a 3 month trial......i then get told it will stop after 20 hrs So about 20 days then Quite a dangerous feature if i was doin 130 done a motorway Just being honest...no hard feelings i just couldnt be ARSED.

Spadge...why the fuck would i go to the trouble of phone calls to Simon and tuners asking about mapability if i just wanted it for a laugh...opps sorry i fell for your antagonistic ego to try make me look bad

I REPEAT ITS MY CAR MY DESCISION...i am sooooooo sorry that i have dissapointed everyone with deceiding against the S8...i didnt think i was ordered by the PF courtroom to have to use it.

Brommy...to your statement i am most pleased The product is obviously TOP NOTCH...and i have been proof that Simon has made ammends to his poor business service

PS Doug..thanks for saying i was ok...rather tells me that simon bullshitted me over that other person telling him not to deal with me as you was the first to SAY that i was ok and you are his best buddy by all accounts.

End of subject...end of SECS involvement.

I am REALLY excited about my lastest build/project and my dogs are too thats all i guess that matters...not you lot that obviously want to tell me how to live my life

Simon,

Bets of luck with better advertising than this.

As someone who bought what was probably the first SECS monitor on general sale (after Mike dropped it in, and said I owed him money ), I look forward to trying an ECU when my car is up and running.

Why the fuck was it his mistake to give me one

Th product looked good...i thought hell its a cheap way to go 8 injectors...then i cheaper more safe option for me came up on my desired spec....At the time of getting the ECU, in which SIMON OFFERED ME not the other way round,i had no idea of spec only a basic one.

The trouble is their is a lot of jealous coonts on here

Out of all this only ONE person has said "i hope it goes well"....PF friendly and nice??????Fuck is it

Mapper???? I went L8 to AVOID being able to touch it......the Collins moniter is just the pro version cause i got it at a very good price....yeah as if i gonna touch the settings

Never had a engine go bang yet Yep had gasket failure due to Coopers shit rings (not my fault) ...oh and a faulty T4 which was a fooking nightmare (not my fault) oh and a cracked block thru std bolts with T4 boost (not my fault this was actually a certain tuners recommendation )......I am learning as i go along...and fuck am i enjoying it...even sold the Skyline due to want keeping with Cossies

How many of you can blame yourself for YOUR engine failures?

Phil,
As I have said at the start of this thread, It is you car and choice about what
you do and I do respect that.
However, I was a bit miffed that I learned about your decision on PF via someone telling me
to look at the PF rather than you phoning me first.

Just to clarify a few of your comments.....

1) The ECU initial Try or buy offer I made I did not take seriously as I said to you
as I was warned by others NOT to deal with you as you were winding me up.
These warnings were given by my friends but Doug Stirling persuaded me
to give you a chance.

2) The ECU was delivered to you on time once I had established you were actually serious.
As it turns out it seems that you may have not been serious after all
but I guess only YOU know if that is a true statement or not.

3) The phone call I made to you about the ecu possibly having a problem was
only a courtesy call. A batch of components that I had from a 3rd party
supplier notified me of a problem and I reacted correctly by locating all units
made that had this component and the offering to replace it.
However it turns out to be a false alarm and anyway it only affected 2 ecu's
of which the other I still have and is tested ok and of course yours.

4) The ecu was time limited as I dont know you from adam and to give
me a degree of protection
besides ithe ECU would have given you plenty of warning before it stopped working.
It would not have stopped working whilst driving fast !

Please can you return it ASAP as someone else here on PF is going to
take over the initial try before buy offer I made to you.

Thanks anyway for considering the S8.

DaveEscos,
Possibly. Just waiting for the circuit board manufacturer to finish the final design.
Once I have tested it thoroughly I may give you a call.

There will be some pictures around here somewhere within a few days.
I did a demo last night at my Local RS group and a few people said they were
going to post up a few images and videos clips.

Its not far off now chaps - Honest
