Default PAS pump rubbing on the rad hose

Is this a common problem, my mate has his Power steering pump belt rubbing on the hose that exits the bottom of the water swirl pot. Apart from getting a shorter pot is there anything that can be done? the Radiator is as high as poss and the swirl pot properly and securely fitted. ideas?

belt is fine, tight and no slipping, the actual pump wheel rubs on the rad hose, I will be lowering the pump now to stop this happening in future, I think the swirl pot is a little too tall really. I will chech the belt is correct length / item though cos Ive not seen this before. Cheers Mark
