would there be much of an advantage in fitting 2 @ 2wd intercoolers into my bmw ? there is a large space between the headlights but 1/3 of the area is behind the bumper so receives no cold air. i was thinking maybe a 2wd intercooler at the top behind the grill with another intercooler at the bottom behind the m-tech spoiler that also has holes to allow air through between the foglights. or is the idea of a custom intercooler better when funds allow? there is a space of around 500mm wide by 600mm deep by up to 120mm thick if i do get a custom cooler.my aim is eventually to have as close to 400bhp as i can get(probably nearer 380 with my turbo)

custom cooler would be better imo - whatever you have, it's not that easy to just make a big area of cooler and stuff some air through it. the design of the end tanks is critical to get an even flow across it but ideally you need a thermal imaging camera and a test bench to check it out
