Default Nurburging post mortem!

Can we have some updates after the Ring trip then?

I presume people are home today, so who made it back in good order? Who had the most fun? Who got the most messed up? etc

Obviously we've all seen pics of various cars being recovered and rumours of cars breaking down en route. Any news?

Oli had to have a 15 min pitstop on route to fix a problem but got home ok.

Lee21turbo lost the bottom end and is still there...

Lee did a bottom end?

Gutted for him, as he chucked enough time and money in!

This last minute prep stuff doesn't seem to do anyone any favours.

did not know Lee was still there.

We all got back before, no problems with our cars.

the ring was not as busy as normal for the easter hoildays which made it that little bit better.

No problems for me at all - not even a single traffic jam all weekend (even at the ring!).

Agreed. Anything new needs a proper shakedown, some miles on it etc to sort out the teething troubles and to gradually bring the stress on.

didn't take the mk2, took the cortina cossie estate. that's now somewhere in germany awaiting a prognosis from herr Doktor on whether it live or die.

bollocks - don't spout shit like that without getting some facts first

i was coming off the track behind graham in my cossie at that time.

the goony has probably spun a shell due to lack of oil pick up on a corner or under braking at a completely different time. vid will be up on youtube later

EsCosRacer i was stood right next to you when you were translating as i had come off the 'ring directly behind shitbox in another car.

the cortina had not been near the 'ring at the time of the incident blamed on graham.

maybe it's because of the language, but your wording is not good. the goonybus cortina did not lose any fluids at all on the circuit, nor does anyone claim that it did.

Well "Daves Stag Do Rally" cars nearly made it back to the UK. Am sure a few will of heard us lol.
The Golf blew its exhaust about 30km out of Rotterdam and sadly the rover dropped all the oil out of the diff 4 miles off the ferry in Hull. Its still on route home on back of wagon. Not bad for 4 cars all under £500. Great weekend, saw a few of the passionford cars but none of you passed us on the track.

Hi mate,

I was the driver/owner of the Blue BMW 525i Sport - sounds like you had a good un!

What did you think of the dam?

What was happening when you got pulled in customs as you nearly dropped us right in it! The bloke kept asking if we had any weed!!

Hi John, just noticed your car on the other thread and thought it was you.
Dam was a good laugh, ive been before but a fewof the others went for the full experience.
Customs kept us sat for 45mins on way back when u saw us. Probably something to do with half of the lads not been able to stop laughing.
Was an awesome weekend all round. That motor of yours looks really clean. I have a dixie horn permenantky ringing in my ears after this weekend lol

it's certainly put me off going that's for sure

and tbh getting cars ready right at the last minute is too risky IMO.

hope all cars get sorted asap
