Default service!!

Had a guy knock at my door yesterday selling services for charters which is a peugeot garage...the service includes..major service, interim service, front wheel alignment, air con check, break inspections/adj,2 car washes & vak,hpi check, seasonal check, puncture repair and balance and a free mot...all for
£89
although you do have to pay for oil and filters which you have to purchase from them....i've asked for cost, they tell me they get it from frauds and dont make any profit on it.

at the moment i've booked the wifes focus in with them...do you think this is a good deal....should i book the rs in aswell...taking into account that i can get any one of these checks done within 12 months.

oh and frauds wanted £199 for normal service.

1st rule never ever buy/give details to anyone who knocks at your door!!

2nd rule never take your car to a pug dealership

how do they check the air con, press the button and sit in the car?

another thing why would you hpi a car you already own?

apart from all that sounds cheap

Was he a pukka salesman? I can't see a big dealership doing door to door 'cold calling'

That seems super cheap. For an HPI to the joe public it's around 35 quid, granted it's cheaper for traders, but something doesn't add up about this.

It was through a marketing company called footprint field marketing.

it surely cant be a bad way of drumming up business the guy had about 50 people sign up.

Sounds too dodgy to me.

Call your local Pug dealship and see if they know anything about it.

Sounds good, but just go along with the car and watch them work.

hmm

Up to you, but for me, I'd not take a Ford car to a Pug dealer! What if they replaced something and void the Ford warranty?

Heck, they even took ages to fix my old Pug 106 a few years ago... they had my car for a week for a simple suspension arm replacement!
