hgv speed limiters

Is any one clued up on what wagons need fitting with a speed limiter?
Basically will our horse box need one fitting?
vehicle 1 1988 ford cargo 7.5t
cehicle 2 1994 iveco cargo 12t
from what i can make out the class 2 will need one and the 7.5 wont?
guidelines dont really mention older vehicles!

the 7.5 wont need one yet i think its about 2002 plate onwards atm,
but it will need one soon as well, they are changing the law in the near future/

Any 7.5t reg from a 52 plate on has now got to be limited and not exceed 90kmh think it was from the 1st of jan this year also can no longer use the 3rd lane of a motorway if you have a limited one.
Rule changes planned for next year are to make a 7.5t observe the same speed limits as a class 2 or 1 when not on a motorway.
I dont think they are going to make limiters compulsery on viechles that dont already have them best thing to do is check with the FTA (freight transport assoc) they will be able to tell you every thing you need to know
