C16? I dunno? 110 Oct + Race fuel I guess. Or is it some line that its aerolplane fuel

"unforseen circumstances"

How convienient that somebody wants to go to all the effort of buying a huge spec engine. But wants never to show anybody. I can understand 1 or 2 maybe even 5. But all of them?

Scan me some pages then. San me some photos. I can only remember 1 RR with SVM. It was the grey and Black RSTs in PF mag back when it was good magazine. They ran at some tiny little RR place (cant remember who) and it was meant to be a shootout with Ian Nathans S1 (Turbo Collective tuned? London based lot.) He never showed so they ran on a road with "estimated" at the fly figures.

That 16V Turbo Yellow Ka with the puma headlights was meant to be 400 odd wasnt it? How come even now were not at that level.? Even Soy wasnt that high.

Sorry, forgot about him

Maybe it should read

"How come its only recently weve been getting to that level" That Ka was around a good 4 years ago.

Doug
550 + Nos.
I think you've just answered it all in 1 sentance. Its not SVMs fault its just that I cant remember anybody rocking up to a RR and saying look my car was tuned my SVM its great. Surely "someone" should have done if they were paying over the odds in the first place

not doubting the top speed less, just the bhp (which doug has explained) and the 11.9 qtr time.

Less - The SVM 165MPH ERST was timed on it's own in a feature with Performance Ford. To my knowledge there were no other cars timed on the day. I think the lads are disputing the 'old skool' times.

I don't wish to get drawn into whether certain cars are XXX amount of horsepower etc but it cracks me up when I read mag features claiming crazy high horsepower when you have only got to look at one or two dead give-aways regarding max hp physically achievable with those items under the bonnet.

Also the 1/4 ET has sod all to do with horsepower. It's the terminal speeds and top speeds you want to be looking at for horsepower comparisons.

Sunny.

severnvally motorsport are a waste of time .

i know a lad that took his car there it was standard and thay run it up to 15psi when he went down the road 7 mile later the fooking thing went with a big bang left with nice hole in the block so i sold lad my engine.

ive had my s2 for 3 years that was allways at severnvally when the last owner had it, one day i had a call of the last owner and he said he is pissed of with the car as it now had a problem with the turbo, severnvally told him this and how much it would be for another one but he said forget it. now how come 3 years latter the same turbo is still pumping 200bhp with no probs at all.

the fastest s2 was black as you say but there was an up date on that and i think the new top speed was about 171mph this was in one of the ford mags .

ive been told more but dont want to put it up on here but all i can say is my pushbike will never go there never mind the car.

In their defence although I have always run on pump fuel there is nowhere where it says you shouldnt use race fuel. This is permitted at TOTB therefore in my opinion...their cars...their business. Same goes for ice cubes in charge cooler etc.

oh yeah.. i dont disagree either

race fuel no probs.... fast is fast no matter how you do it.... but it needs to be repeatible to be credible. IMHO

road legal is a different thing though.

Gus you moron, I was competing at York on the same day and it doesn't take a genius to see that Nathan's run was spurios . If you look at the time it achieved the last 1/8 mile in (as the slip was printed in the Fast Ford article) you will realise that it must have had a JATO rocket attached to it and fired up over the last part of the quarter .

I will have to dig up my 9s run that I "achieved" on the same day and start claiming that my 350bhp Sapphire (which it was at the time) is faster than a 1000bhp Skyline .

The car was really consistant doing low 13s all day long, but 11s ? Do me a favour .

The white SV ERST with the green bumper inserts and jacked up arse, always ran 13's. I'd seen the car on a few occasions and always seemed to run somewhere in the 13's and consistantly too!

Still bloody good going though for a fwd car.

Severn Valley are reasonably close to me and over the years I have heard loads of stories. All the people who went there and spent proper money got the results and had no probs....all the chavs that went there and tried to get power on the cheap ended up with blown up engines. They have a rep for being expensive tho but I guess if you know your shit in the first place you wouldn't accept stupid prices when they quote you
