Default 2wd g/box question

wounder if anyone can tell me is there something thats missing that should sit on the left side of this pic of bellhousing?

wanna make sure everythings where it should be before i install box

also has anyone got a 2wd gearstick at all??

on the left side where the square is with the dot, there should be a nipple type fitting that the clutch release arm sits on to stop it flapping about

Crappy design it is, you can dril through the hole and use a nut and bolt through hole sandwiching the arm between them, stops the aggro and rattle.

ps i got a brand new gearstick, and housing on the bay, with brand new leather gearknob for £22, might be worth a search

the clutch fork is round the wrong way also,

i drilled through and used a 8mm nut and bolt to hold the end of the clutch release arm, thats all i can see missing, you will need a 3 door cradle their different to the saph one's,

the 3 door type was soon modified to the sapphire type as the arm wore the gear box away.Try wood ford for the sapphire clutch fork nylon retaining clip/bush.

cant be a lot mate, couple of quid max as i ordered a load of other bits and lot came to less than £20

has anyone got a spare retaining clip for the fork cant really compence with engine install unless this is sorted
