Anyone north of the Midlands (above Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire) is NORTHERN.
Anyone south of the Midlands (below Northamptonshire) is SOUTHERN
Anyone in the middle, is in THE MIDLANDS that's why it's called The MID lands.

theres a guy lives in dawlish my mum went school with never in his life has he gone ANYWHERE other than exeter!
my brother gets shakey on the m5 as he edges towards the somerset border!

Which Mechanic? I know most of the local guys on the tools 
Langdon I know well - my old man was one of the Dawlish Doctors!
Port Road I also Know - When I was a kid, I lived up at Cockwood, which backs onto Port Road!

ian is sound as a pound got to know him through a friend of our family who i believe used to get up to some antics with ian as a schoolboy!
always used to fix bros bmw, dads alpina,jeep and done a load of work on a nissan and a couple fiats of mine
havent seen him for a while as i dont go to devon to often these days but when i do i go to newton to see wifes family
