Just pop a bar in under the arm and see how much up n down movement is there.
But yeh they always go..Hence why I fitted some Ian Howel lower arms with rose joints lol

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
best way to get those bolts out is to let them soak in Plus gas or similar for 10 mins then get a ring ended spanner up behind the top and use a big torque wrench on the bottom, easy

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
biggest issue i had were getting bolts off, but once i had engine turbo'd i had to change them quite a lot so bolts came off easier each time lol and only took 15 mins once. but on average no more than 30 mins, as said soak them in plus gas for a bit. maybe even soak them in a day advance

took me 7 hours to one side once!!
there was a reason tho, the car had been driven over a traffic island which had bent the pick up points over the bolt heads and bent the bolts, they had to be cut most of the way through then sheared off, what a nightmare job!
