is there one on a 4x4 saff if so were is it please

Only if it is the lateer style (usually with cat)

If this is the case, I believe they are mounted in the turbo exhaust housing

it`s a 1990 mate so more that likely not have one on

If it is a 1990, then its unlikely frankly.

This is unless it has been converted to closed loop of course!
