Go test drive 1 then go test drive an integra type-r. You might not get on with either if you like low down grunt. Remember you need to screw the nuts off them so dont be shy on the test drives

I,m after one but do have to say, you have to REALLY kill it to get the most out of it, the engine sounds like it jumping out you go for the gear change then realise it's only at 6.5k and still have miles to go

I would say if you are coming down from a turbo'd car, you'll be disapointed

All relative though matt. You should expect the quickest machine in the world when its not. I went from a 400bhp cossie to 200bhp beemer and was more than happy. ok no where near as quick but you cant expect that.

The Type R is different driving experience over turbo'd motor.

Graham not sure if thats true! but i know you can set the Vtec to come in when you want, but not sure if its just a reprogramme or you need a new ECU etc.

Theres not much point. Honda set the Change over there for a reason as its best for torque/power. The muppet who bought my old DC2 ITR got a Vtec controller for it, after messing about on a rolling road it was set back to standard as thats what gave the best results.

Driving one will improve you gear changes as you will be up and down the box like Jenna Jameson riding a cock Thats probably why i dont mind the big T4 when on track, as i am used to changing gear to keep it in the correct rev range.

I found my ITR very good fun for 18months, i really did make some cars with twice the power look very stupid around track in it. That was its down fall in the end though. I found it just to easy to drive, you could not even concentrate around track and still be lapping quicker than 80% of people.

If i tried that in the saph i would most probably end up back wards in the armco.

The Civic is a bloody good car that does lots of things well, i just urge you to test drive a DC2 ITR after the CTR and i think you will agree its even better. Only down side to the ITR is no 6th gear for motorways but i still used to managed 35mpg on motorway at 80mph.

Nash
Nash know what your saying about a ITR But Civic can have warrenty Going to look at 05 plate one later with 22k on the clock for 10.6 and 54 2005 with 18k for 10.5 (though has scratch on wing and its red). Obviously both under warrenty till next year, one being January and the other march.

Just tempted to get it, smoke about in it for the summer and sell on agian with a few months warrenty left. But then agian might fall in love with it

my mate has one, and apart from the cool noise you get when the v-tec kicks in its pretty mundane (i have never driven it though, and he drives like a pussy), the handling is bland, the interior is drab and they are just f*cking everywhere

it really depends on budget of course, but personally i'd have a focus RS, much better looking car, more rewarding to drive and the interior is

Thats a fair point if you really want a warrenty. I was just refering to the ITR being a bit more involving. The civic is still a good car though. The other option is a FRS[better than bother ITR and CTR imo] but most are now out of warrenty and a bit more expensive.
