Good vans, but one of the dicks who work for me reversed into a fire engine on tuesday and wrecked the drivers side so they crash quite well silver doesnt show the scratches they said

Good vans though, was very tempted by the new VW with all the "bling" but i cant justify 30k on a delivery van, thats with all the bits and they tend to get treated like shit here.

We have a VW which has a 4m rear and hasnt really done many miles. We need smaller vans now as more people are asking for us to fit more units etc. Work around london is really taking of so now ive got 2 smaller vans its quicker and easier, and you cant get away with bloke rideing in the back of vans anymore

Currently stuck at work sorting out a big quote for a museum in london, hence why im more interested in talking about vans got to be in tomorrow aswell so i can get the order

well vivaro is traffic, and movano is the master. You get more with renault as std tho... we looked at both.

No parking on pavements for you then! I had a 53 plate vivaro dti,and it was o.k.,prefer the transit a lot more though. mine had an annoying flat spot when pulling away from a junction, this dissapeared when i fitted my e bay special tuning box Personally i thought you got more kit on the nissan version though, leccy windows, parking sensors etc. All the same van!
I have never had either from new for more than 30k miles before they got replaced,or i moved jobs. the dash has typical renault build quality, which ever one you buy!

Transit van just doesnt justify the money imo. It loses value like fook and just doesnt warrant the extra cash. Nissan was more expensive....

Dash isnt the best, but none of the vans we looked at were brilliant Its much more nicer than the escort van

hope you dont have the gear box and steering rack problems like alot off people are having with them as i know a few that are on there 3rd gear box and 2nd rack all fixed for free but you still lose your van for a few days thats why i went down the new transit route and got the 280 lx short wheel base medium roof 130 bhp and it flys ( for a van ) loads off toys to play with as well

Big spec vans are a lot more common nowadays, but when you get sick of the short gearing round town, the rattle from under the bonnet, you'll be wishing you were sat in a transit glx. Remember the transit has been refined over a long period of time, and nothing comes close for user friendliness.
And dont forget the back door opens on the other side to normal.
Still got me after 6 months.

Theres a world of difference obviously, but i have been lucky,in that someone else has been buying the vehicles i have had over the years, and if it was my money it would be the transit all day long, they just seem better from the driving seat.
I have had the pleasure of various vans during my career including;
LDV 200 (ex post office,sliding doors )
vw transporter
Peugeot boxer 1.9d
94 transit di
citreon dispatch 1.9d
citreon berlingo
vw lt 35
mercedes sprinter
98 transit di
citreon relay
vauxhall astra
ford escort (first 51 reg on fleet)
new transit t280
new transit 100 t280
fiat scudo jtd
vauxhall movano
new transit 90 t350
mercedes sprinter
transit lpg
vauxhall vivaro, and probably a few more, and the transit has always been the most comfortable, and easy to use.
I've been waiting 6 months for my new transit, and was told yesterday it will be limited to 70 mph
No more trips home from scotland in 3 hours then!

I worked in Vauxhall for a while and they are not the most reliable shall we say.
Gearboxs, steering racks, power steering pumps, glow plugs, high pressure fuel pumps,injectors.....the list is endless

and they are on 20,000 mile service intervals, but the front and rear pads wear out about 15,000
