Few pictures from my trip to New York City
Went there for my birthday, also the missus 25th..
Was a big suprise (she didn't know until we got to the airport arrival terminal)
I'm such a smoothy... lol
Fantastic place, so many thing to see but fuck me it was cold!
Anyway here's a few snaps!
the hotel (we were on floor 30 )
The room...
telly in the bog
Empire state building
and the view from it...Well the snow

The good lady and Manhattan in the background
Bumped into Jess in Madam Tussauds
Ground zero
the building site were 2000+ people lost their lives
Times square day n night
Sherry's birthday arrived with 12 red roses being delivered to her door by the bell boys... Ain't i a smoothy
Walked over the Brooklyn bridge
M+M world in times square
Went to the world renowned Tiffany Jewellers on 5th Ave and she was hinting something...
Immediately after seeing the price i promptly told her to go forth and get bent lol
Fanatsic trip, will go again in the future i'm sure

Smit you ever had any criminal convictions for driving in the last 12 years ? Something that got you a criminal record say like driving whilst banned

Took your picture on a webcam
Deano - I got a new driving licence before i went so the conviction didn't exist anymore. (Upgraded to the photo card from a green paper one) I got banned from driving in 1999.. Ban came off in 2004 (5years) but still had paper licence. So upgraded and it came back clean
I've also got a new passport with a chip on the back page (not sure what this is but when i came home they flashed this under a machine and my photo popped up on the screen.) was kinda funky

Nick - the hotel was called 'The Alex' Link = Click
Was on 45th street between 2nd+3rd Av. Around 6 blocks east of Time square (about a 5-10min walk)
whole trip was a touch over 2.5k including flights. But did travel world traveller plus with BA (was a bit extra)
Think the hotel was around Ł300 a night but we had a studio room to get a high floor
Hotel staff were fantastic, can't reccomend the hotel enough.

Sounds like a good trip Smit... Last time I was in New York I went to the top of the trade center buildings!
When I went to the US last year I was getting properly scruitinised by customs, whereas my manager who I was travelling with is a asian muslim and he walked almost straight through!

Jealous that you walked along the Brooklyn Bridge! I wished I had done that, but I never got round to it! (It was on my list to go do it on the Saturday, but it pissed down like a mofo!!!!) I wanted to walk across one side, then get a cab back the otherway
