Default Panel beaters - Your views please....

My car recently had a rear O/S quater panel and my brother who is also a panel beater finally had time to check it over properly. Now he told me this 'Where they have joined it on the sill is awful and has 2 big holes in the weld, and has started to rust'. He told me to take it back to the garage and demand it was put back to bare metal and done again from scratch as I (Benni) Could of done a better weld myself. So I took it back to the garage and he took it into the bodyshop and about 10 minutes later he came out and told me it had been sealed to stop more rust. I was happy with this purely because I don't know anything about cars so assumed this was correct but my brother tells me it's not right at all and will need doing again? The work was carried out about 5 weeks ago.

What do you think? Cheers, Benni.

the fact they have sealed the rust over just means it will corrode from behind.

They should have done the job propperly the first time.

Ben i have had nice cars that when repaired for whatever reason
you can tell they have been repaired, and i have sold the thing.
my mate crashed his 15 grand subaru impreza and the work QBS
did was shocking, they blew 10 grand nearly repairing it.
it had to go back for a shopping list of things to do.
1 week after getting it back he fcucked it off at a subaru main dealer
for a brand new one as it werent the same.
if its a insurance job just get onto the insurers
