What would you make if you was to make a Sleeper?
I love sleepers, and I think a smart as fuck sleeper would be a new ford fiesta with a focus RS engine and RWD running about 350bhp. Can you believe that's my dream car.

building mine at the moment, battered old L reg transit.
with a 24v cosworth engine, the van was an ex avo van with a factory fitted 2.9i so the 24v conversion was easy ish, its in and running, just got exhaust manifolds to get made and it will be on the road.

Most of these are just daft tho, just like me saying.
2CV with twin bugatti veyron engines tuned to 1500bhp each and TDI badges
if you gonna do a sleeper, it at least needs to be possible without butchering the car SO much it dont look like one now or something totally screams totally un-standard.
you might have a supercharged 8litre v8 mondeo, but the tubbed rear end to get grip and the huge bonnet bulge might give shit away somewhat
martins old mondeo was a fantastic sleeper really, as with the 4wd etc etc etc even the wheels are possible to be normal.
cheapest and fastest sleeper anyone can make IMO is a modified 740 turbo powered volvo 360. can easy have 250odd bhp in a 1000kg RWD car for under 800quid if you not too bad with spanners.
cossie engines etc make good bases for sleepers, 4cyl stuff thatd fit anywhere.
big v8s and shit work if you got a big car to sling em in in the first place.
and dunno about you, but id be fucked if id spend 20k building a mega fast shit looking car when i didnt have a nice looking car too.
love a sleeper as a 2nd car, but id like a nice tasteful car as well (ie not some modified chav wank, even a nice standard car will do, but nice, not some gay lil hatch etc).

This would the ultimate sleeper a vw camper van whit porsche running gear custom porsche chassis porsche turbo engine custom suspension huge brakes and stripped interior carbon fibre roof and other carbon body panels.
