I'm after a Golf 1.9 TDI, now how can you tell if the car is GT TDI, 90bhp, 100bhp, 110bhp, 130bhp or 150bhp?

I'm looking to buy one at the mo, so any advice welcomed, also i'm after at least a T reg, 5dr, how much dosh am i looking at?

If the TDI is silver then its the lowest power 90 or 100(?)bhp
If the badge is TDI then its 110bhp.
If the badge is TDI then its 130bhp.
If the badge is TDI then its 150bhp.
That took forever to type all that! lol
Are some just badged GTI or is it GT TDI?

I got a Mk4 golf 1.9 TDI,T plate 5 door model and its foooking superb, best car i have had, does 500miles to just under 50quid,and makes a wicked whoosh noise when i floor it (im easily pleased )

My golf has only done 50k with 1 owner FGSH and i bought it for under 3k lol fookin bargin i reackon cos the engines are good for rocket ship millage if looked after

try a search mate as mk4 golf buying advice is asked every few weeks and theres loads of info on here about them.

As said above about telling what is what, only red di's can also be 115 and the all red tdi wasn't used on a golf it was just badged gti.[150]

gt tdi will either be a 130, 115 or a 110.

be warned though badges can be changed easily, the best way is to check the engine code, - try a search i'm sure i've written a comprehensive list of what means what before.

 

i dunno but its pretty nippy and good on the motorway prob 110 or summit i reackon
