328 cc @ 3 bar injectors from a Cossie flows 328 cc per minute, the SAME as a 328 cc injector from another car! Cosworth engine isnt special, nor is it an exception to calculating BSFC.

You need ATLEAST 0.5 lbs of fuel per HP per hour.

328 cc x 4 = 1312 cc per minute
1312 / 1000 = 1.312 litres per minute

1.312 x 60 = 78.72 litres per hour

78.72 x 1.63 lbs = 128.3 lbs per hour

128.3 lbs x 2 = 256 HP

This is with the standard cosworth fuel pressure of 3 bar.

NMS Stage 1+ uses standard injectors and makes 295bhp/320lbf ft.

Even stage 1 makes 270bhp/270lbf ft

At what injector duty? Which fuel pump? Where is the dyno at proves how much RWHP it can make with standard injectors and pump? How do YOU know what parts they used?

My friend also has a supra and also seems to get his tuning information from Gran Tourismo LOL He bought his 4 years ago for 19k and now its worth 7-8 max.

Doh. Goes well for a standard car though.

This conversion is a huge improvement over standard and involves the fitment of a new "chip" to the ECU and the fitment of a new wastegate actuator. I use a genuine Garret –31 item as these are superior in quality and operation to the usual alloy type. In addition I advise the fitment of a K&N type panel filter in the standard air box. The boost is then set to 16psi, the spark plugs either changed or gapped as appropriate and along with a general setup around 270bhp/270lbf ft can be expected.

Stage 1+

This is a recent development of my stage 1 conversion and takes the std engine to an even higher state of performance. This conversion however can only be performed on engines in excellent health or those which have undergone a complete rebuild. Likewise the turbo must be in excellent condition and preferably be fitted with a 360degree thrust bearing. Again a new "chip" is fitted to the ECU along with a Garret -31 actuator, and suitable plugs fitted and gapped if required. For 2wd cars I advise the fitment of a 4X4 Sapphire Intercooler. Coupled with a full setup this chip allows the car to run in excess of 22psi between 2500rpm and 5000rpm, then dropping to 17psi by 6000rpm and finally tailing to 14psi at the 7000rpm limiter. This setup normally results in around 295bhp/320lbf ft.

Karls stg1+ uses FAR more fuel pressure than standard you goon.

And i thought base pressure was far more than 3bar? And bearing in mind its a rising rate reg, your talking well over 4bar on full boost even if it IS 3bar.

And a std fuelpump for a sierra cossie is good for about 400bhp so thas not relavent...

I used to have the NMS Stage 1 Gunship conversion and it was proven to be over 300bhp with a Standard fuel pump and Standard Yellow injectors

Oh, and i know what parts were used as i watched Karl fucking use them

Ive mentioned this before but just in case the Supra owner is reading I have owned both scooby and cosworth, both modified, first power run I had on the scooby was running 286bhp at the flywheel and 195 bhp at the wheels, and that is STI power, it was then modded to run more hp and I can say as an everyday quick car the cossie is better and faster. And to get any decent horsepower from a scooby you also need to change the intercooler and turbo unless you get one of the models that came standard with the TD05.

RR was incorrect. No way a Scoob with that flywheel figure would lose 91bhp through wheels. Would be more like 40

I will dig out the dyno sheet and post it, this was done at Interpro Automotive and I have not heard of any stories about their RR being out, but maybe. The that I was trying to make was that I honestly believe that the cossie is a better car

Nah, It's gone quiet on the other side of the fence.

I just thought I'd stick in a post since there's a photo of my arse on this site...... (strange but true!)

What's funny is if you changed the words over ford/scoob you could swap these two threads over and no one would know the difference

On another note yellows are 440cc's which should be good for about 330bhp on a well sorted 4cyl, 2.0l engine @4ish bar fuel press.

I thought the colours were universal, maybe not true. Yellows were standard on my car and rated at 440cc's @2.5 bar.

Dave, were talking BOSCH injector colour codes here........

Could you be thinking of a 440cc yellow injector from another manafacturer????

This could well be true. Like I said, I had assumed all manufacturers used a common colour coding.

It would make buying injectors a bit of a gamble though if you're going by colours I would have thought?

Unless of course you alway go to the same manufacturer......

Actually, my current one's are pink, 550cc's. What would that be in the ford world?
