Trolling the mkiii supra board???
I think not.
I did go on their to wind up my good friend Simon (GTS targa) I'll admit.
At least now he has seen the light and he scrapping his over weight underpowered piece of 80's shite!
I like Subaru Imprezas!!
Several friend own them, as stated on the post on Scoobynet I'd like a classic Type RA
I see Imprezas as an equal (almost )
I certainly do not see some scrappy mkiii supra from the era before Japan made decent cars as any sort of competition for a Cosworth or an Impreza!!
Whats the matter?? Couldn't afford a mkIV??
I think not.

Tell me this, just how is a "Ł4000" 14 year old Ford Sierra, that requires an engine out, engine reshell, rebuild, uprated turbo, uprated injectors, fuel system and uprated gasket and head bolts which total up to another few thousand that could only JUUUST edge out a mild modded STi Scooby upto 120+ MPH prove to be "superior"??
Do you know the implications of your car project, my friend?...it implies that with enough money, you can make even a dustbin very fast. Reliability is another question though.

And as for the Sierra and Escort Cosworths were built as homologation models under FIA rules, you twit. This is how you enter a car into a motorsport category. If you have a car that's already fitted with a powerful engine, race-ish specification suspension, and gear box, the race teams would have something better to start with dont they? Why do you think Honda built the Integra & Civic Type-R and fitted the damn things with race specification suspension and bushings???
Oh and the Impreza's didnt exist untill the early 90's you twit!

why do ppl get so irate
id love to have a new scooby driven one and it was mint
didn't have the head in seat gforce my saph does in a straight line but then dont have to slow to 30mph to go round a corner or roundabout
its all a bit of fun and i treat it as such
had a great little race with an evo the other day then we btoh pulled over and had a 10 min chat
mutual respect for other drivers who like to have a go
all this my team shit
i own a saph cos of the affordability and little ammount of capital required in the first place to get one
ppl need to chill the fook out

ROFLMAO at comparing mkiii supra to Porsche 928
Anyway
I'm not going to be drawn into an arguement with you Anh as it clear you are just as blinkered about your supra as many Ford RS and Impreza drivers are.
The only difference being Rs and Impreza drivers actually own cars worth of such attention
I bought my car because I have alway loved Cosworths and I wanted the quickest possible car for the 4k I had available at the time.
My car now owes me around 9-10k but still fits it's original criteria
What could I buy for 9-10k that is faster??

also had a new supra TT, 480bhp, much much better machine but useless on a corner, thats why ive gone for the rally heritage now, much more capable and rewarding to drive.

And yes, reliability is always another question with Subaru "oops-melted-piston-#3" Impreza's.
