but these were 3 shit runs i had, my first ever go at it too and i still did a 'fairly decent' time, i know it's pretty slow in the scheme of things,but it's not like that's as good as it's getting.

i'm happy in the knowledge that both me and the car can do a lot better, if i can get a good few runs in at stratford, say 6 or 7 i'll defo be in the 12's

i will try harder,just for you

60ft = 2.395
330ft = 6.052
1/8th = 8.829
1/8th = 90.55mph
1000ft = 11.110
1/4 = 13.127
1/4 = 115.59mph

I run 17s with 205/40 tyres

I am more interested in the last 1/8th time, the first 1/8th is so hard to get right

Steve.
But as I said, get your first eighth down by 0.1 and it improves you second eighth by 0.2 .

His eighth is 2.54, so if he got a 2.39 like yours, he should be almost 3/10s better by the end - which is a 13 dead... .

He (and you) needs to do 2.0 to 2.1s to get consistant high 12s .

i'm actually surprised they were as 'quick' as 2.5 tbh, they felt like i was barely moving...it pulls harder when lauching off Mcdonalds car park

it literally felt like i'd be better crawling off the line then gunning it

Mike,

I was not worried about the total time for the 1/4.

I just thought Martins car would pull a lot harder than mine in the final 1/8th

it's obviously not powerful enough

as i've mentioned i'm gonna get it to Shakespeare Raceway and get some practice in

a small note that i was slightly down on power due to a slight error on my part

i've got a CD from santa pod here, your car pops up a few times

i think i may set the Koni's slightly softer to absorb some more of the shock, it's tramping a bit and i don't really think i'll get the beam sorted any time soon, so it'll have to stay as it is

The point I was trying to make is that it WOULD have been quicker in this section IF he had got a good launch .

With the same power as him, and doing a 2.186 60ft, my second eighth would be 4.222s....

If I got a poor launch (2.451 60 ft), my second eighth would plummet to 4.508s - NOW do you understand ?

i would if i knew how

i was only slightly down on torque really, i've fitted my standard airbox and plumbed it up as per standard, this seems to have lost me my boost spike lol, could be purely coincidental but i'm pretty convinced it's because i've plumbed the amal valve back to the airbox rather than vented to atmosphere....

it still held the same boost up the range i think

i've watched my 3 runs on the vid and it's shocking how slow the car looks like it's moving off the line didn't feel quick though tbh...

Martin : Congratulations on the times matey....what people tend to forget is that these were your first three runs on a strip, in a car that (Relatively Speaking) your still getting used too.

It's what she was built for (Track, 1/4 miles and shows)....so I'm pleased to see your using her, and glad all the money I spent seems to be working.......and reliable You must post the vids some where i can download them from.

See you on the track very soon...........(Still an RSOC member so see you on the track).

Notice anything different.............
