And external gate- Bigger than you need wont cause any hastle, and even the smallest will work fine, so it dont matter, just get one if you really want to spend 500quid+ JUST to make the car sound extra loud at full boost.

christain didnt run an external gate, It was internal but with a custom exhaust coming off the wastegate, like a screamer pipe

Watching it round donno at ND, it was VERY loud

To be fair the 500lbft is a target if the turbo delivers as requested, so it maybe less.... we will find out soon enough though.

Oh.... and this is on an internally wastegated turbo in stock position.

No worries if figures are not reached..... it's then turbo rotation time and a GT30, which will mean I will have to lower myself and go external wastegate, but this will be dumped in to the downpipe and not extruded off to a gimpy screamer pipe. I even refuse to have a VTA dump on mine! They were good 10yrs ago when I was 25 and trying to pull 16yr olds down Maccy D's.

External Wastegate on all but a handful or RST's that are GENUINELY over 300bhp is pointless.

Don't bother, seriously.

I did make an adaption for mine to divide the turbine housing and run separate turbine discharge and wastegate vent, but it was shit. Noisey yes, worthwhile no.

As others have said, spend it on strippers. Much more fun IMO.
