My mate had his Pug 205 Gti Rally Car Mapped by a certain PF user. He'd entered loads of events and never had anything go wrong, had it mapped by a certain Alex F on here and look what happened! Now I'm not blaming Alex, but all I'll say is my mate never rolled it before it was mapped, He entered the Longcross rally last weekend and look what happened with the new found power increase.

His solicitors will be in contact! Maybe a warning should be given next time on the dangers of the performance increase that stand alone engine management produces hey? lol.

I believe this is a common problem when drivability and power are increased in a 205, the car will often head for a ditch at its first opportunity

Yeh, Driver's a "Robust" lad, he's fine, his lad was navigating so he had an adventure to tell his mates about. Car was repared , resprayed and ready again in 4 days! Joking aside he put it down to the new increase in power and the back being too high, not enough weight over it to give the rear the traction it needed even whilst accelerating around bends. Has now been dropped loads and he's getting used to the power delivery so fingers crossed for the Caerwent Rally at the end of the month.
